Lidzhi-Goryaeva Tsagan Edeevna
CITY: s. Beloe Ozero, Lagansky District, Kalmyk ASSR DATE OF BIRTH: 01/05/1924 DATE OF DEATH: 05/02/2015 HISTORY: Memoirs of the builder of the Kizlyar-Astrakhan railway Lidzhi-Goryaeva Tsagan Edeevna, a native of the village. White Lake, Lagansky District, Kalmyk ASSR. From her memoirs it became known that during the war she was only 17 years old. The elder brother was taken to the front, she stayed with her mother and younger sister. With tears in her eyes, with a pain in her heart, she recalls those difficult days. In 1941, the Moscow master engineer looked through the eyepiece, then waved his hand, and the foreman Sarangov Alla Modunovich hammered the first pegs. I dragged them out of the car, which always stood in the ravine, so they hid it from the German vultures. We hammered the pegs, starting from Kizlyar to Harulyn Khudg (now the village of Artezian). The party organizer was Otkha Mandzhievich Muchkaev, Manji Khechiev was responsible for gathering people in the Belozersk village council. This fact is confirmed by archival documents. After that, together with her brigade, she worked on the construction of the subgrade. No one from my brigade is alive anymore. Here are their names: Badmaev Harka Unduevna, Mukaeva Dzhiga, Sanchirov Bosha, Basangov Tagir, Ubushaev Bayrh, Mankurov Egor, Basangova Bulgun and many others. We lived in Kalmyk wagons, slept on the floor, spreading straw. It is cold in winter, hot in summer, they fell asleep quickly because of fatigue, there were bloody calluses on their hands, unhealed, covered with scabs, dirt and dust. I worked on a par with adults, pounded the earth, poured two on a stretcher, rammed my work next to a bomb, two of my friends were killed to death, and I was stunned and wounded and ended up in the Dzhilkit hospital. After recovering, she again worked on the construction of the road. She was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kalmyk ASSR from the list of the best Stakhanovite collective farmers who distinguished themselves in the 5th construction site: "Construction No. 8" The selection was tough: only hardy, reliable, physically strong, strong in spirit. After all, we had to winter in the frosty steppes of Kazakhstan. I walked on foot along that endlessly long road - "the road of life" to save the cattle from the Nazis. Tsagan Edeevna together with her people she endured all the hardships of wartime, was subjected to repression and was exiled with her family to Siberia Altai Territory, the village of Klyuch. In a harsh land for 13 years she worked in logging. The work on logging was hellish. The norm was 60 square meters of forest per day. The working day was irregular, got up at 2 am, returned at 10 pm. Crying at fate, there was no time:she had to feed an elderly mother, children, brother. Returning to her homeland in 1957, she worked in a worker's depot, then until retirement she worked as a technician in an auxiliary school in Ulan-Khol. Soon she married the cabinetmaker Lidzhi-Goryaev Pyotr Erdnievich. He also left a mark on the earth in his short life. The hospital, school, houses, shop, enterprises were built by my husband's hands in Ulan-Khol. Tsagan Edeevna raised five children, gave all children a higher education, everyone works, now she has 7 granddaughters, 2 great-grandchildren.
