Kukolev Anatoly Sergeevich
Military rank is Senior Sergeant. Branch of troops: Ground Forces, Military Air Forces (except Naval aviation), shore service, NKVD troops, Frontier troops. Subdivision was the 178th Rifle Kulaginskaya Red Banner division. Kukolev Anatoliy went to the front in August 1942. Initially, he studied at the Vilna Infantry school, located at that time in the city of Novokuznetsk. After completing a six-month course with the rank of Senior Sergeant, he served in the 178th Separate Mechanized division, where he voluntarily enlisted as a scout. Belgorod, Kharkiv, Poltava and Kremenchug are just some of the places where Anatoly Sergeyevich had to fight. Behind each city there is every minute danger to their own lives, because the scout must provide command of information from the "first hand", and this means raids into the deep rear of the enemy with the mandatory delivery of the captured prisoner for interrogation. He didn’t manage to have serious injuries. The first injury, after which they wanted to invalid him out of the army, he received while crossing the Dnieper River, but the scout simply ran away from the field hospital to his unit; the second was received already while moving to the Oder River. But even in this case, Senior Sergeant Anatoly Kukolev remained in the ranks. The Motherland highly appreciated Anatoly Sergeevich's military achievements. The two Orders of the Patriotic War I and II degrees, the medal "For Bravery" and many other awards were deservedly received by our fellow scout during the war. And in peaceful life, starting in 1947, he connected his life with work in the judicial system. He worked as a people's judge in Guryevsk, Belov, and for a long time was the Chairman of the court in the city of Jurga.
