Konstantin Ivanovich Kazin

Konstantin Ivanovich Kazin was born on April 6, 1921 in the "Sovetskaya" hospital in Borovichi, Novgorod region. Father-Kazin Ivan Kuzmich, worked in Petrograd at the "Metal" factory. Mother, Kazina Maria Pavlovna, (maiden name – Krivtsova), a housewife, at this time, lived with her mother, Sofia Nikolaevna, at the address: Borovichi, street Nekrasovskaya, house number 53 (according to a relative - Yakov Merkuryev). From 1928 to 1935, he studied at the incomplete secondary school № 52 of Leningrad city and finished 7 grades. From October 1936, he studied at the Federal technical University as a locksmith and worked at factory No. 218 until February 1939. From April 1939 to October 1988, i.e. until his death, he worked at the "Printing Machines" plant as a 6th class locksmith in Shop No. 12, and then in the repair group of TSLIT. During the war, he worked (made machine guns) in the besieged Leningrad, being the only breadwinner in the family consisting of his father, mother and younger brother Boris of 14 years. His mother worked as a tram conductor from 1930, and trams did not run in besieged Leningrad until April 15, 1942. In January 1942, the disabled father died of starvation, in February-the grandfather, in March - the grandmother. During one of the bombings in February 1942, the house where the family lived was destroyed and caught fire. Father saved his weakened brother, mother, and grandmother from the fire. Orders: - By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of December 22, 1942, he was awarded the medal "For the Defence of Leningrad". - By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR dated June 6, 1945 he was awarded a medal "For Durable Labor in the Great Patriotic War". - In 1958 he was awarded the medal "In Memory of 250 years of Leningrad". In 1961 he joined the ranks of the CPSU. - In 1970 he was awarded a medal "For DISTRICTED TRADEMARK FOR THE 100th Birthday Anniversary of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin". - In 1975 he was awarded the medal "30 YEARS of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". - In 1981 he was awarded the medal "VETERAN OF LABOR". - In 1985 he was awarded the jubilee medal “FORTY YEARS of VICTORY in the GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR of 1941-1945". During the years of work at the plant, he proved to be a qualified, executive employee. He always treated the assigned task with a great sense of responsibility, and actively participated in the social life of the plant. He was constantly elected to the trade Union Committee and head of the trade unions, was a party member of the TSLIT and a subscriber to the periodical press for plant management.
