After the Great Patriotic War, the 503rd artillery regiment (SV) was transferred to the far East (in Manchuria) and only in May 1946, my great-grandfather was dismissed to the reserve. During his service in the Red Army my great-grandfather was awarded combat awards: the Badge of Distinction "Excellent Artillery Worker", the Medal "For Budapest", the Medal "For Combat Services", the Medal "For Bravery", the Medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.In 1946 he came to the Kuban, and settled in the village Basak-2, Vyselkovsky district of Krasnodar region, where he married Bolhovitinova (Tkachenko) Lyubov Karpovna (she also participated in the war) and they had two daughters Vera (1948) and Valentina (1954). All labor activity of my great-grandfather was on the farm "Electrosila", Vyselkovsky district of Krasnodar region, where he was awarded with diplomas and badge "Striker of Communist Labor" and in 1979 was awarded the medal "Veteran of Labor. Throughout his life, great-grandfather was not much of a talker and did not like to talk about the horrors of war and was limited only to dry, reserved words, leaing the military theme, he went to his workshop and sang the song "Gunners" – this was his favorite song. In March 1985, my great-grandfather was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War I degree. On holidays, celebrations, when visiting, as soon as the topic of war came up, he would stop talking and say through his teeth: "It was very difficult there, but we hit them first in 39, and then won in 45! No one else will come near us. Sleep well! " and then he could become silent and withdraw into himself. Our entire family loves him, is proud and mourns the loss of my great-grandfather!
