Karaichev Vasily Nikolaevich
Vasily Nikolaevich was born on October 17, 1924 in Titchikha in Davydovsky district of Voronezh region. In June 1941, he was 16 years old. By that time, he had completed 8 classes and worked in the collective farm as a foreman of the garden brigade. On June 23, 1941, he and his peers went to the military enlistment office to enlist as volunteers in the Red Army. They were returned home, explaining that they were rejected due to their young age. Then they went to the village Council with the intention to change the date of birth. They managed to convince the Secretary, and their request was excepted. A certificate, which confirmed that the year of their birth was 1923, was issued for the military enlistment office. On June 24, 1941, Davydovsky district military Commissariat of Voronezh region sent Vasily Nikolaevich Karaichev to Oryol infantry school. In October 1941, the infantry school (it was located at that time in Central Asia – Chardzhou) was partially transformed into the 36th cadet brigade and sent for the defense of Moscow. The defense was held as part of the 16th army in Rozhdestveno in Istra direction. In December, the Red army went to attack and on December 24, 1941, Vasily Nikolaevich injured the left shoulder with the bone damage by the blind shrapnel. With this injury, he was hospitalized in 104 PPG 4616, and later EG 1077, where he was treated until March 18, 1942. From April to August 1942 after leaving a hospital, Vasily Nikolaevich had been taking the courses of a Junior Lieutenant in the South Ural military district. He graduated them with the rank of Lieutenant and was appointed a commander of a rifle platoon. The next stage of participation in the great Patriotic War took place near Stalingrad from September to February 1942. During one of the battles, he was seriously injured his head. The result was a contusion and loss of the left eye. Then he appeared in Chardzhou again. But this time he was there in the emergency room. There he was cured until 1946. After each injury, he was considered dead and funeral letters were sent to his family. During fighting he was awarded the " order of the Patriotic War of the first degree and the medal "for the defense of Stalingrad". After the end of the war in 1946, Vasily entered the Khvorostanskoe pedagogical school, located in Davydovsky district of Voronezh region. He graduated with honors and was assigned to Chita region. There he was appointed a Director of the seven-years school of non-Vyatka Kalarsky district. Here he met Maria Feodorovna Pavlova. They were married in 1951. Four children were born: Sergey, Natalia, Svetlana and Tatiana. In 1958, he was appointed a Director of the secondary school of Darasun resort of TRANS-Baikal military district, and in 1960 he became a Director of Urulga orphanage of Kalarsky district of Chita region. He entered the Chita pedagogical Institute. In 1964, he and his family moved to the village of Lychentsy in Pereslavsky district of Yaroslavl region. In 1965, he graduated from the Yaroslavl pedagogical Institute named after Ushinsky. From 1964 to 1987 worked as a teacher in Licenskey eight-years school. For labor achievements, he was awarded the badge "excellent student of education", certificates of the Ministry of education and other certificates. He was an honored teacher of the USSR. Vasily Nikolaevich was actively engaged in public activities. For many years, he was elected as a Deputy of the village Council. He was an assessor in the people's court. He did a lot of work on Patriotic and cared of the physical education of the younger generation: he went hiking with students, initiated many regional sports meetings of the rural school students, and shared with them his memories of the great Patriotic War. He read lectures for adults through the "Knowledge" society. He died in 2012 at the age
