Kruglov Nikolay Vasilyevich
Kruglov Nikolay Vasilyevich was born on 23.12.1926, in Maryevka, Bogdashkinsky district (now Tsilninsky district), Ulyanovsk region. In 1943, when he was a seventeen-year-old boy, Nikolai Vasilyevich went to the front as a volunteer. After short-term courses at a sniper school located in Inza, Nikolai Kruglov was enlisted in the 1st Baltic front. Participated in the liberation of Belarus, the Baltic republics, and East Prussia. In the fighting, Nikolai Vasilyevich received several wounds. The first was shrapnel-in the head and in the leg, which he received in October 1944 on the territory of Lithuania. His comrades carried him out of the battlefield. The treatment was delayed for a month and a half. After the restoration, Nikolai Vasilyevich managed to catch up and fought as a member of the 1st Baltic front until the next wound, which was heavier than the first one. The explosive bullet damaged the hip joint, which led Nikolai Vasilyevich to disability for life. In April 1945, there were long battles. The Germans were pushed to the Baltic sea, which was only a few kilometers away. The command ordered to clarify the location of the enemy's military units in order to deliver a fatal blow to the German group entrenched on this bridgehead. On April 23, 1945, a group of scouts from five fighters left to complete the task in the rear of the Nazis. The group included Nikolai Kruglov and his countryman Alexey Tselovalnikov. The task could not be completed until the end: the group was ambushed. Three soldiers were killed on the spot, fellow countryman Nikolai Vasilyevich was seriously wounded in the chest. N. V. Kruglov took him into the safe place and bandaged his wound. On the radio, they asked for support. The gunners came to the rescue. But Nikolai Vasilyevich was also wounded there. He, as well as a friend, bleeding, was carried out by fellow soldiers who arrived in time and delivered them to the hospital. Later, Nikolai Vasilyevich was transported to to Murom in Vladimir region, where he met the hour of Victory. Nikolai Vasilyevich was discharged from the hospital only in 1946. He was declared, disabled and unfit for service.
