Ganeev Abrar Karimovich

Rank: Corporal. Born on may 26, 1921 in the village of Klyancheevo, Kam-Ustinsky district of Tatarstan Republic. From an early age, he helped his parents to run the farm. Soon the family was dispossessed and exiled to the construction of the Magnitogorsk plant. The young man was called to the front with the beginning of the war. He was fighting on the North-Western and 1st Belorussian Fronts, as the part of the 138th Separate Motorized Pontoon-bridge Battalion, participated in the crossing of the Oder, Vistula, Elbe rivers, the liberation of Warsaw and other cities, the capture of Berlin. He was wounded, awarded the Order of the ""Red Star"", the Order of ""Patriotic War"", the Medal ""For bravery"", the Medal ""For the liberation of Warsaw"", the Medal ""For the capture of Berlin"", the Medal ""For the victory over Germany"". The war did not end for him On May 9, 1945, and for about a year he participated in the restoration of destroyed cities. Fate saved the soldier and saved his life. He continued working at the plant after returning home in 1946. He married, raised a son and later two grandchildren. For honest and conscientious work, he was awarded the Medal ""Veteran of labor"", numerous certificates and memorable gifts. My grandfather did not like to talk about the war, he told me about halts and lull times, how valuable peace and time between battles was. He could not spend time uselessly, we constantly did something with him in the garden, took care of the plants, built something. Once my grandfather planted a birch tree on the site, my grandmother said that this is a useless tree and it should be removed. ""When I die, then cut it down,"" my grandfather used to say... Now it is a tall and large tree... Time is merciless - on February 29, 2000, Abrar Karimovich passed away. He was a kind, honest, hard-working, and the most nnoble man I kntw! The memory of him will always be cherished in our hearts, and military orders and awards will sparkle brightly in the rays of the sun. I am very proud of my grandfather and I love him. He is always with me! Many Thanks To The Heroism Of The Soldier!"
