Teterin Nikolai Trofimovich

Rank: Leiutenant Branch of troops: Aviation. Subdivision: 12th Guards Fighter Aviation Znamenskaya Red Banner Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Division. In January 1939, Nikolai Trofimovich Teterin was drafted into the Red Army and sent to study at the Perm Higher Aviation School. From November 11, 1939, Nikolai Trofimovich Teterin continued his studies in Moscow, at the 1st Chkalovsk Higher Military Pilot School named after K.E. Voroshilov. He graduated in 1940 with the rank of Junior Leiutenant of Fighter Aviation. On 12/31/1941 he was awarded the rank of Leiutenant, he became a flight commander. My uncle, Nikolai Trofimovich Teterin, died on 04/01/1942, destroying the retreating fascists in the Volokolamsk region, near Moscow. He was 25 years old. After the war, a documentary film about the war "They defended the Moscow sky" was brought to the city of Osa. All fellow countrymen and relatives who lived in the city of Osa recognized Nikolai. The whole audience was shouting: “Come on, Nikolai, come on! Beat the fascists! " And again the brisk I-153 entered the peak. Nicholas, alive and well, smiled at them from the screen. Our mother's cousin, Evgeny Alexandrovich Petukhov, a native of the city of Osa, told us about this. Newspapers and magazines wrote about our uncle Kolya. We have clippings from the Pravda newspaper for December 2 and 3, 1941. Photos of Uncle Kolya and his fighting friends are in many front-line albums, for example, in the album "The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 in photographs and documents" in five volumes. Volume 1 - "1941" - Moscow "Planet", 1985, the chapter is called "The Heroic Defense of Moscow". Clippings from the Pravda newspaper for 2 and 3 December 1941: “Nikolai Trofimovich Teterin is the 1st from the right. Stormtrooper strikes. Western Front, December 2 (by phone). The defense Aviation of Moscow, interacting with ground forces, continues to inflict cruel blows on the enemy with assault raids. On the Ensk front of the front, a group of pilots led by Captain Nevkipelov, during the first takeoff, stormed a convoy of cars and tank trucks with fuel. Our pilots destroyed enemy vehicles with well-aimed fire. The pilots made the second raid on the tank column and inflicted serious damage on it. Fascist pilots are afraid of our attack aircraft. At one of the sections, our pilots groped for a column of tanks and Motorized infantry. From the air, the enemy's advance was covered by 9 enemy fighters. However, as soon as our attack aircraft and fighters appeared over the column, the fascist aircrafts stepped aside without a fight, without participation observing the actions of our Aviation. On the night of December 2, Leiutenant Colonel Comrade Karpenko and Senior Leiutenant Dolganov raided one of the enemy airfields. On the field, 23 enemy aircraft and fuel supplies were burned. During the day of December 2, our pilots destroyed 29 fascist tanks, 3 tankettes, 133 vehicles with different loads, 9 gas tanks, suppressed the fire of 6 anti-aircraft guns, destroyed up to two battalions of infantry. Regimental Commissar V. Lyakishev ". There is information about Nikolai Trofimovich Teterin in the book-album “1941-1945. Selected photographs of Alexander Ustinov, military photojournalist "- Moscow, publishing house" Soviet Russia ", 1978, page 46. The photographs show how Nikolai and his friends are awarded the Order of the Battle Red Banner. He already had the first Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree. He was awarded the second Order of the Patriotic War posthumously. Major Konstantin Ivanovich Morskoy wrote to his parents,Trofim Stepanovich and Maria Maksimovna about this. Here is an excerpt from his letter: “Field mail, military unit 3547 dated February 24, 1945. On January 4, 1942, Nikolai received a combat mission to storm the enemy's airfield in the Volokolamsk region and died while performing a combat mission together with his comrades. " When Nikolai went to the enemy, he always sang the song "Morning paints the walls of the ancient Kremlin with a gentle light ..." Subsequently, the parents learned the details of the death of their son, Nikolai. When the downed plane caught fire, the crew decided to jump. Nikolai managed to direct his burning plane to a German convoy, and then he himself jumped out with a parachute. But the Nazis noticed and shot him in the air. Our brave uncle, Nikolai Trofimovich Teterin, was killed, and his military awards were lost. Further, Major Konstantin Ivanovich Morskoy writes that he has in his hands a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated August 18, 1944 on awarding the guard of Leiutenant Teterin Nikolai Trofimovich posthumously with the second Order of the Patriotic War 1 degree No. order. As my grandmother said, our grandfather, Nikolai's father, Trofim Stepanovich, went to Moscow. Our uncle Kolya was buried in a mass grave, the city of Klin, Moscow region. According to some documents from the archives of the city of Klin, Teterin Nikolai Trofimovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously. Here is an excerpt from the award list:“Defending Moscow from the fascist invaders, Comrade Teterin Nikolai Trofimovich made 126 combat missions, 51 of them to attack fascist troops. Making bold attacks by fascist Motorized equipment, he destroyed 12 tanks, 70 vehicles, 40 wagons with ammunition, 4 anti-aircraft points and two companies of soldiers. Flying on an I-153 plane, he always boldly went into battle and was the first to destroy the enemy's anti-aircraft weapons. In one of the attack aircraft on a completely broken plane, with a disabled engine, he flew into his territory, showing great courage. For military services in the fight against the Nazis in the Yukhnov area, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. In January 1942, destroying the retreating fascists in the Volokolamsk region, Comrade Teterin died a hero's death. Comrade Teterin deserves the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously for the bravery and heroism shown in defending Moscow from the Nazis, in accordance with Order No. 0299 of 1941 by the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR. " But why, instead of the title of Hero, Nikolai Teterin was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, we will never know. Written by P. Pustyryov, search group "Podvig", I. Ovchinnikova, Central Children's Library named after A.P. Gaidar. Klin city, Moscow region.
