Boyko Luka Fedoseevich was born in 1898 in the Kiev province, Zvenigorod district, Gusakov township, the village of Rossokhovatki. Luka Fedoseevich started his career in 1912. From 1912 to 1916 he worked at the Samara-Zlatoust railway. From 1916, he was drafted into the tsarist army and trained in the 3rd reserve artillery brigade in Samara, from where he left for the Romanian front as a common soldier. In 1917, he was dismissed for injury. From July 1918 to 1946, he served in the Red Army continuously as a platoon commander, company commander, battalion commander, assistant regimental commander, Deputy Brigade commander, Division supply chief, Head of the front Department, Deputy division commander, Assistant chief of the infantry school in Leninsk - Kuznetsk. Total service in the army was 28 years. In June 1941, when Nazi Germany treacherously attacked our Homeland, Boyko was at the station of Manzovka, Ussuri territory, in a military town, 69 motorized rifle division. After the war began, together with the division he went to the front line, and in 1942, the 69th division was renamed the 2nd Guards motorized rifle division for its military valor. In March of 1944, he was seconded to the 4th Shock Army and was appointed Deputy commander of the 47th division in the rear. From July to August 1944, he was in the reserve of the Baltic front. From August 1944 to October 1945, he was appointed Deputy chief of the 3rd Guards Rifle division in the rear. During the great Patriotic war, together with combat units, he conducted combat operations on the territory of Nazi Germany in East Prussia. During the Great Patriotic war he had a concussion and was injuried two times. From December 1945, he was appointed as the deputy head of the Leninsk-Kuznetsk military infantry school in the West Siberian military district. On September 9, 1946, by order of the chief of the rear of the armed forces of the USSR, he was dismissed to the reserve due to the age. In 1946, together with his family, he moved from Leninsk - Kuznetsk to Tobolsk. In March 1947, he was appointed as the director of the Tobolsk city auction. In October 1950, he was appointed as the director of the Tobolsk bakery. In 1952 he retired for health reasons.
