Simonyan Yeranos Sarkisovich was born in 1896 in the village of Mrgavan, Artashat Region of the Armenian SSR. In 1914 he graduated from a Russian school and was mobilized into the Imperial Russian army. There he entered the garrison Veterinary School. In 1918-20 he served in the Armed Forces in the 1st Independent Republic of Armenia. In 1920-25 he served in the Red Army as a military feldsher. In 1931-36 he graduated from the All-Union Zooveterinary Institute. From 1926 to 1936 he worked as the Head of the security of the quarantine point. In 1936-41 he worked as a Chief Veterinarian in three regions of the Armenian SSR at once.
On 06/23/1941 he was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army in 503 PVL as the Head of the surgical department of the 45th, and then the 26th army. From March 1942 to March 1943 he was the Head of the Veterinary of the 151st Rifle Division of 44th army. From March 1943, he was a veterinarian of the OGTR of 44th Army, and then to December 1945, a veterinarian of the 299 OGTR of 28th Army. He had the military rank of Captain.

“Comrade Simonyan had been a participant in the Patriotic War from the first days of its beginning. Thanks to the great care and energy in his work, being in the Polesie area unfavorable for infectious anemia of horses, comrade Simonyan kept the horse stock and prevented the disease of infectious anemia. He received the Order of Red Star”.
In the civil service in 1961 he received the honorary title Honored Veterinarian of the Armenian SSR. He received the Order of the Badge of Honor and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. He passed away on October 19, 1986 in at the age of 90. He was buried in the cemetery of his native village Mrgavan, Ararat province Republic of Armenia.
