He died on September 20, 1989, he was 69 years old. Many people came to his funeral. A tireless worker, a war hero, had passed away. I also thought, remembered what he was ... He was a Russian soldier! The work of a signalman in the war was considered necessary and responsible, and the success of the combat often depended on it. During the Great Patriotic War, the fate of our great Victory largely depended on the well-coordinated work of communications technicians. I remember when I was little and asked my grandfather about the war, he told me that the enemy thought that the Russians knew some secret magic word, “and we knew, kept this word in our hearts, we went up to die, won with it “For the Motherland!". My grandfather received Order of Red Star for the fact that “during the combat in March 1945, under fierce rifle-machine-gun and artillery-mortar shelling of the enemy, he laid a cable communication line, providing communication.
