Subdivision: 242nd Taman Mountain Rifle Red Banner Order of Kutuzov_x000D_ Tribunsky Nikolay Tarasovich was born on October, 25 1923 in the village Salnikovo (now Pervomaisky District of Altai Territory) in a peasant family. He had been enlisted to the Red Army since October 1941, participated in war combats since December 1941. He was a recon of the 690th Brigade Regiment (126th Brigade, 2nd Guards Army, 4th Ukrainian Front)._x000D_ On 12.4.1944 as part of reconnaissance group he destroyed 5 Nazis and captured several prisoners in Sevastopol (Crimea, Ukraine). On 05/31/1944 he was awarded the Order of Glory, (242nd Alpine Division, the 3rd Alpine Corps, 1st Guards Army, 4th Ukrainian front). _x000D_ Senior Sergeant made several raids deep into the rear of the enemy, captured and personally exterminated more than 15 Nazis 17.12.44-4.01.45. On On 4.01.45 one of the first in a group of recons broke into the enemy location in the area of Bardejov (Slovakia), struck 3 sub-machine gunners with point-blank fire, and captured 1 prisoner. On 05.02.45 Tribunsky awarded the Order of Glory of 3 degree, on 24.10.66 he was re-awarded the Order of Glory of 1st degree. Commanding a capture group, on the night of 05.02.45 at the station Gucisko (southern city of Rabka, Poland) killed 4 Nazis and took 1 prisoner. On the night of 20.02.45 in the area of Nowy Sacz (Poland), covering the retreat of the capture group with the “tongue”, he struck 5 infantry. On 24.3.45 Tribunsky was awarded the Order of Glory of 2nd degree. _x000D_ In January 1946 he was demobilized. In 1956 he graduated from the Barnaul Accounting and Credit College and worked as a Chief Accountant of the Altai Regional Committee of the Communist Party. He lived in the city of Barnaul. He passed away on June 25, 1996.
