Zhitkov Alexey Konstantinovich was born on September 29, 1919 in Simferopol. Then his parents returned to Moscow. In 1937, he graduated from the 8th grade of school. On June 21, 1941, he graduated from the Mossovet Electromechanical Technical School. He worked in Moscow streetcar. On October 15, 1941 he voluntarily joined the Red Army and left for the frontline. He fought on the western front in the Acting Army in the 130th Rifle Division as a private. After his wound in March 1942 he was hospitalized in Orekhovo-Zuyevo. In May 1942, he was sent to the 2nd Berdichev Infantry School in Aktyubinsk, where he studied from June to December 1942. After graduation, he was sent to the disposal of the Don Front, and then to the 21st Army, where he served as commander of the reserve company of officers from January to April 1943. In April 1943, he was appointed to the 71st Guards Rifle Division of the Voronezh Front, where he worked until March 1944 as commander of a machine-gun company and adjutant of the senior independent machine-gun battalion. Then, he worked as an adjutant of the battalion's 219th rifle regiment 2nd Baltic Front and as an assistant chief of staff for operations of the 4th Independent Ski Battalion 1st and 2nd Baltic Front. From March 1944 to July 1944 he was in hospital because of his wound. After the hospital in July 1944 from the OC 6 Guards Army was assigned to the post of commander of 171 penalty company of the 1st Baltic Front, where he remained until June 1945. In August 1945, after the dissolution of the company from the OC 6 Guards Army was assigned to 23 rifle corps, from the corps - 51 Gv. rifle division of the Baltic Military District to the post of commander of the rifle battalion. On October 10, 1945, he received the training battalion of the 51st Guards Rifle Division, where he worked until March 1946. From March 1946 to August 1946, he worked as commander of the 156th Guards Rifle Battalion. He was not in captivity or encirclement. He had 2 wounds in 1942 and 1944. He was awarded combat orders: "Patriotic War" 1st and 2nd degree, "Red Star", combat medals: "For the Defense of Moscow", "Defense of Stalingrad", "Victory over Germany. 22. 02.1945 he married Elizaveta Andreyevna Krasnoschekova. After the war until 1946, the family lived in Riga. In August 1946 he was demobilized. Then, together with his wife E.A. Zhitkova, he returned to Moscow to his mother Ekaterina Filippovna Zhitkova. He worked in UPTM, Glavmosgortrans as head of the Moscow Tramway Service until July 1979. In 1972, he graduated from VZISI. He was awarded medals: "20 years of victory in the Great Patriotic War", "30 years of victory in the Great Patriotic War", "Fifty years of the Armed Forces of the USSR", "In memory of the 800th anniversary of Moscow", "Sixty years of the Armed Forces of the USSR". He died on July 27, 1979 in Moscow at the age of 59. He was buried at the Preobrazhenskoe Cemetery in Moscow.
