BACKGROUND: Our family remembers and carefully keeps the only photo of our grandfather Grigory Evseevich Zolotarev, born in 1909, a native of Kursk region now (Belgorod), Tomarovskiy district, village Streletskoye. Since 1922 he lived in Novoalexandrovka farm with his parents Evsey, Ekaterina and sister Olga. In 1929 he married a blue-eyed girl Natalia. In 1930 the firstborn son Andrey was born, and in 1934 Nikolay was born. Grandmother did not like to remember those terrible days of the war, but all her life she hoped and waited that her husband would return. During the first days of the war, my grandfather was drafted to the front by Tomarovskiy RBK, Kursk region, into 923 rifle regiments. On the "Memorial" website, from the documents specifying the losses, the case number of the source of information 464, it is printed that the Red Army soldier G.E. Zolotarev left on 05.1943 and went missing. According to another version, according to his colleague, he died in 1941 near Smolensk. The place of burial is unknown.
