In 1934, at the age of 16, he came to the Gidropribor plant in Feodosia and worked as a mechanic. In the fall of 1941, when the Germans approached Feodosia, the plant had to be urgently evacuated. Grigory Mikhailovich took part in the evacuation, but did not have time to evacuate himself, so he was forced to leave for the podillia. In April 1944, after the liberation of Feodosia from the fascist invaders, he was drafted to serve in the Red Army. He served on the 1st Belorussian Front of the 339th Infantry Division. Grigory Mikhailovich participated in the Great Patriotic War from May 10, 1944 to May 9, 1945 as part of the 1133 rifle regiment in a breakthrough on the river. Vistula, crossing the river Oder, in a breakthrough on the river Oder, in the liquidation of the fascist group in the south-east of Berlin, was wounded in the head during the fighting (02/06/1945). For participation in hostilities he was awarded two Orders of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, medals "For the capture of Berlin", "For the liberation of Warsaw", "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." Had four thanks to Stalin. Demobilized from the Soviet Army in June 1946. Immediately after demobilization, he returned to the Gidropribor plant, where he worked until his retirement in 1980. For many years of impeccable work and active social activity, he was awarded the honorary title of Veteran of Labor in 1972. Throughout his career, Grigory Mikhailovich was awarded numerous certificates, labor medals, medals for the anniversary dates of the Great Patriotic War.
