Tsugai Alexander Ivanovich born in 1911 during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 worked in the gold mines of Siberia in the Kemerovo region, mined gold on the rivers Kundat and Berikul. Hundreds, thousands of Siberians wanted to go to the front, but at this difficult time for the country there was a special need for precious metal. Gold at all times is the main currency value of the state, and during the war the country especially needed it. And therefore, the main task for gold miners was formulated by the Soviet government extremely harshly: to extract the maximum possible amount of gold for the country's treasury! The precious metal was required by the USSR for the purchase of military equipment, food, medicine and much more from foreign countries. Since Tsugay A.I. was a very good prospector (gold miners were called prospectors for their efforts in gold mining), he was given a reservation, that is, exemption from service at the front. Reservations were given to highly qualified specialists and engineering and technical personnel of defense and strategically important industries and economies. Prospectors worked 12-14 hours a day, work was interrupted only for sleep and lunch. But no one complained about the difficult conditions, on the contrary, people felt a general patriotic enthusiasm and tried to work as best as possible. The plan was always overfulfilled. Conscientious and selfless work was appreciated: Alexander Ivanovich Tsugai was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945". This medal was established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated June 6, 1945. Tsugay A.I. with his valiant and selfless work, he contributed to the victory of the Soviet Union over Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
