CITY: Geli village DATE OF BIRTH: 01/12/1925 DATE OF DEATH: - HISTORY: Title: Sergeant. Type of troops: Artillery. Subdivision: 1st Guards Artillery Glukhovskaya Order of Lenin Red Banner Orders of Suvorov, Kutuzov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky breakthrough division of the RGK. Many decades have passed since the end of the Second World War on May 9. We are modern youth, we cannot even imagine all of its horrors. And this is good. We are very lucky to live in peacetime, to have many opportunities in life. We know about the war from the stories of old people and from history books. And for millions of people, these terrible events were a reality. The war brought a lot of grief. Probably, every family has lost loved ones, many of them do not even have a grave. Young guys died in terrible battles without trying life properly. Children of the war years could not even think of beautiful toys. They couldn't even go to school normally. Many of them were left orphans. And cripples returned from the war, not only with wounds on their bodies, but also with pain in their souls. My great-grandfather Asadulaev Magomed Asadulaevich, was born in 1925 on January 23. In 1943 he volunteered for the front. Their division entered Berlin first. He has the Order of Courage, a medal for the capture of Berlin, for courage, the Order of the Patriotic War, a medal in memory of the war, etc. During the war, he received a shrapnel wound in the head. I would like to see him and ask him about many things, but alas, I could not ... Therefore, May 9 - Victory Day - is a holiday both bright and sad at the same time. On the one hand, our army won a victory, liberated our country. But all this at a very high price - millions of lives, rivers of tears and many crippled destinies. To thank the veterans - living and deceased - for their feat on Victory Day is the smallest thing we can do. We must remember those thanks to whom we now live in the world. This will help us learn a bitter lesson.
