Military biography of Major, Commissioner Khecho Vartanovich Airapetov Khecho Vartanovich Airapetov was born on January 21, 1906 in the village of Khndzoresk, Gorisinsky District, Armenian SSR, into the family of an oil worker. On June 28, 1941, at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Khecho Vartanovich, despite the presence of armor, volunteered for the Moscow people's militia. He was assigned to a separate sapper battalion of the 139th rifle division of the Kirovsky region as a political instructor. In September 1941, being the commissar of the 7th separate communications battalion of the 43rd army, he took a direct part in the bloody battles, in the defeat of the Germans near Moscow on the Maloyaroslavetsky, Medynsky, Yukhnovsky and Yelninsky directions. In 1942 he was seriously wounded and was being treated in the city of Podolsk. After leaving the hospital as a disabled person of the Patriotic War, he continued to serve until the end of the war. Comrade Airapetov Khecho Vartanovich was sent to political work on the Transcaucasian Front, where he was elected a member of the front party commission - deputy secretary of the party commission of the political department of the rear of the Transcaucasian Front and the Tbilisi District. As a commissar of the head food warehouse of the People’s Commissariat No. 205, in difficult off-road conditions, on donkeys, he took part in providing food and fodder for the front troops on the passes of the Transcaucasian mountains. In 1944 Airapetov Kh.V. received from Comrade Stalin I.V. two thanks for the uninterrupted provision of food and fodder to the troops of the Transcaucasian Front. From the chief of the rear of the Red Army, General A.V. Khrulev received a personalized watch and gratitude. At the end of the war in 1946, after demobilization, comrade Airapetov was appointed first deputy, acting head of the Glavkhladoprom of the USSR Ministry of Myasomolprom.
