Lieutenant Colonel, 269th Rifle Rogachevskaya Red Banner Order of Kutuzov Division A boy from the small steppe village of Pervomaisky, Ipatovsky District, from childhood dreamed to be a teacher. After finishing High School, he entered the Mozdok Pedagogical School, successfully graduated from it. And now he had a long-awaited teacher's diploma in his hands, and there was a bright future shining! But the June 1941 was already knocking on the window with a green birch branch. Mikhail was drafted into the army on June 9. Thirteen days later the Great Patriotic War started, which he went through from the first to the last day. _x000D_
There were many stories in his military biography. He commanded a platoon of sub machine gunners, was wounded. After the hospital, from March 43rd, he served as a Senior Sergeant, Commander of an Artillery section of a Division. According to the data in reconnaissance reports, the coordinates of targets for our guns were calculated. If the topographer is wrong, our shells will fly past the enemy. It was he, Mikhail Poberey, who marked targets on the wax beads before the famous Battle of Kursk. He waited for the offensive like everyone else, but on July 1, the Chief of Staff summoned him and announced: _x000D_
“You will make a good Commander. It was decided to send you to study at the Penza Artillery School ”. Already on the train, Senior Sergeant Poberei learned that a battle had started In the history of World War II this was one of the bloodiest and greatest battles. He also learned that all his colleagues were killed. His fate saved then. He diligently mastered military science for a year, and in September 44th he came back on the front line, in the 269th Vinnytsia Red Banner Orders of Kutuzov, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, Alexander Nevsky Anti-tank Destroyer Regiment. He celebrated the victory in Prague. After serving 20 years, and all this time he was faithful to his native tank regiment, was demobilized as a Lieutenant Colonel. Finally his dreams came true: he taught history and was the Head teacher of Secondary School No. 25 in Stavropol, the School inspector. All the time he actively participated in social work. Since 1962, he headed the section of patriotic education of draft youth in the assistance committee of the regional military enlistment office. From 1985 to the present, Mikhail Dmitrievich has been working in the Council of Veterans: (1985-1995 in the Industrial District of Stavropol, from 1996-2014 in the Petrovsky District Council of Veterans). He skillfully attracted veterans to work on the patriotic education of students. Interacting with schools, Mikhail Dmitrievich organized the work of young correspondents with veterans of the Great Patriotic War at home, helping schools in to create the "Combat Glory" school museums with new relics, exhibits, documents, local names of heroes. Poberei Mikhail Dmitrievich has state awards: Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War II degree._x000D_
Medals: For Military Merit, For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War, For Impeccable Service, I and II degrees, "For Valiant Labor", "Zhukov" and others. Numerous Diplomas, 15 of them are Russian and regional. In 2006 he was awarded the diploma of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II "For the secular education of the younger generation." _x000D_
In 2007 he was awarded the title of Laureate of the Russian Forum "Public Recognition".
