Pravdyuk Ivan was born on August 18, 1918 in the village of Elenovka, Voronovitsky District, Vinnytsa Region._x000D_
In 1926, he went to a village school. He finished only 6 classes, as he was forced to work, helping his parents around the house._x000D_
In 1937, he entered the Driver's Course._x000D_
He was drafted into the army in October 1938 and served in the Far East._x000D_
He was a driver, in the battle of Khasan he delivered artillery shells._x000D_
He had leave for his homela in April 1941._x000D_
He met the Great Patriotic War in June._x000D_
From Vinnytsia, he was sent to the city of Kozyatin, and from there to Mtsensk, where he was appointed Deputy Platoon Commander. From Mtsensk, he was sent to the city of Rzhevsk (at that time, the Kalinin Region) and served in the 142nd Brigade of the Armored Reconnaissance Company. He fought with the German invaders at Kobeliaki and Reshetilovka in the Poltava Region of the Ukrainian SSR. With fights he reached Voroshilovograd, and then to Kharkov._x000D_
Then in 1942 his unit was surrounded (Kharkov-Slavyansk-Barvenkovo)._x000D_
They left the encirclement through Novoshakhtinsk, and then Rostov._x000D_
Came from Rostov to Bataysk._x000D_
They fought as far as Armavir, where Ivan was wounded. He was in a hospital in the Kropotkino District of Kuban._x000D_
From the hospital, he was sent to a newly formed regiment in the Stavropol Region._x000D_
He was assigned to a machine gun company._x000D_
He was sent to the Chelyabinsk Military School in 1943, where he was trained as a driver._x000D_
In the rank of Sergeant, he was assigned to Bessonovka, and then to Gorokhovets, where he commanded a training platoon._x000D_
He joined the 8th Mortar Brigade of the Belorussian Front n 1944, with it he reached Konisberg._x000D_
At Koenisberg, he received a second wound and a concussion. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star, the Medal For Military Merit, the Medal For the Capture of Kenisberg at the end of April 1944._x000D_
I. Pravdyuk received the Order of the Red Star for military exploits, because the red star is a distinctive sign of Soviet soldiers._x000D_
In commemoration of the Great Victory won by the Soviet people over the fascist invaders, on May 9, 1945, the Medal For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was established._x000D_
Ivan finished the Great Patriotic War in East Prussia. He was discharged on May 8, 1945 in Koenisberg. He also worked there after the war and carried out restoration work until 1950._x000D_
From there, he was sent to Vinnytsia, where he worked as a wheeled vehicle instructor in a military unit._x000D_
He moved to the city of Donetsk in 1953, where in the military unit he worked as a driver for the Stalino (at that time the so-called Budenovskiy convoy) transport company._x000D_
During his work for the transport company, for selfless work, he was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the title "Honored Transport Worker of the Ukrainian SSR, the title of the Hero of Socialist Labor.
