Repishevskiy Ivan Mikhailovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Repishevskiy Ivan Mikhailovich was born in 1919 in the city of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region (then Odessa region), Ukrainian SSR. Before being drafted into the army in 1939, he lived at Pervomaisk, Odessa region. He participated in combat operations in Finland in 1939 in the ranks of the Red Army, and then served on a warship of the red banner Baltic Fleet, which from the summer of 1940 was based in Tallinn. At the beginning of the great Patriotic war (June 1941) Ivan Mikhailovich served on a warship of the red banner Baltic fleet with the rank of red Navy. During the service, he participated in the battles for the defense of Tallinn. During the evacuation from Tallinn (Tallinn sea passage, August 29, 1941), his ship was bombed, he was thrown overboard and after 26 hours in the water with other soldiers, was rescued and boarded one of the Baltic Fleet ships. Due to the fact that his ship was bombed, Repishevskiy Ivan Mikhailovich was listed as missing in the lists of irretrievable losses on September 01, 1941. After the evacuation from Tallinn, upon arrival in Leningrad, from September 1941, he was sent and served in the 1st Separate Marine Brigade (hereafter 1 OBMP), the red banner Baltic Fleet, including taking part in the battles of Pulkovo in the autumn/winter of 1941. Passing further service as a submachine gunner in the 1st platoon of the 1st company of the 7th separate marine battalion of the KBF during the offensive near the city of Kolpino on December 15, 1941, he was seriously wounded, and then was treated in one of the hospitals in Leningrad. On the road of Life, he was taken out of Leningrad. After recovery, he continued to serve in the red Army. Ivan Mikhailovich was on active military service in the Soviet Army from 1939 to 1963 and was dismissed to the reserve with the rank of captain of the administrative service.
