Smirnov Alexander Pavlovich

"I was born in 1897 on October 21 in the family of a middle peasant. In 1909 I graduated from the Dudorov parish School. In 1909 - 1910 academic year I studied at the Ladin second-class Teacher's School, but I did not graduate from this School due to lack of funds from my parents to pay for my studies from 35-40 rubles a year. From 1910 to 1914 I lived in the village of Pestovo, Staritsky district of Tver province, worked in agriculture with my parents. From December 1914 to May 1916, I lived on the Abukhovo farm in Staritsky district of Tver province, together with my father worked in agriculture. In May 1916 I was drafted ahead of schedule in the army and enlisted as an ordinary soldier of the 252nd Reserve Infantry Regiment in Rostov-on-Don. In April 1918, I returned home from the front to my father's family, and in October 1918 I was enlisted as a Red Army Soldier in a special Battalion the town Zubtsov of the Tver province. Then I was sent to the Southern Front against Denikin Forces, where I was in November - December 1918, then returned again to my father's family due to illness. After my recovery from April 1919, I voluntarily entered the headquarters of the 1st Tver military engineering squad in the city of Tver as a clerk. In March 1920 he was seconded to the town Staritsa in the 11th crew of the Tver military-labor Construction Brigade, where he worked as a Senior clerk and held the position of assistant head of the crew until October 1921. Since October 1921, having returned to my father's family after demobilization, I began to grow fruit trees for which I laid a small nursery for growing apple trees, and then a garden was planted on an area of about 0.25 hectares. When organizing the kolkhoz "Pogranichnik" of the Dudorovsky village I planted 372 apple trees from my nursery in the kolkhoz, some of which have survived to the present day on the "Selkor" kolkhoz of the Dudorovsky village, brigade No. 1 of village Bukontovo. In the month of April 1925, I listened to the monthly courses organized by the Vysokovsky Volzemotdel, and upon completion of the courses on 03/30/1925 I was elected Chairman of the cooperative horse breeding partnership in the village in Vysokoe Novotorzhsky, Tver province. At the same time in April at the congress of agricultural councils in the city of Torzhok, I was elected a member of the bureau of the agricultural council at the Novotorzhsky district land administration. After the liquidation of the cooperative-horse breeding partnership in April 1926, at a meeting of shareholders of the Zarechsko-Njegoshkovsky consumer society, I was elected Chairman of the board of village Nyogoshkovo, Tver district and province, where I worked before the merger with the Brodov consumer society until 1929, and in the Brodov consumer society I worked as Head of Trading Department until February 1931, before the unification of all consumer societies of the Region in Yemelyanovskoe Raipo. From February 1931 to May 1933 I worked as an Accountant of the Linokonolevodstroy trust in the construction of the Yemelyanovskiy flax plant, village Nesterovo, Emelyanovskiy district, Krasnoselskiy flax mill, Novotorzhskiy district, Moscow Region, and a seed-cleaning station in the village Vysokoe, Staritskiy district, Western Region. From May 1933 to November 1935 he worked as a Teacher at the Dudorov primary School in the village Dudorovo, Staritskiy district, Kalinin Region, and from November 1935 he was transferred to Logunovskaya Elementary School, which was my place of residence and worked there before the occupation by the Germans until October 1941. In 1940 I graduated from the Novotorzhskoe Pedagogical College by correspondence. From about October 17 to December 24, 1941, I lived in the territory occupied by the Germans in the village. Logunovo Dudorovsky, Vysokovsky district of the Kalinin Region. I was given a special mission from the Ministry of State Security of the Vysokovsky District personally by Comrade (indicates the last name, first name, patronymic), who gave me the password for meeting with other comrades, who were to meet me in the village Logunovo and transfer the corresponding combat missions, but during this period no one came to me and I did not receive any further combat missions until our territory was liberated, i.e. until December 24, 1941. During the occupation, I did not do any work for the Germans, with the exception of 2 times to clear snow. During the period of occupation, there were two incidents that could have betrayed me as a Communist Party member. The 1st incident occurred in the village Bukontovo in the month of November where I went to my mother to get milk for my sick daughter, who had just weaned from her mother. When I saw a citizen (indicates the names, initials of two people) and some others who asked me to go into the house where there were no enemy, but there were people who came from Kalinin to (indicates the last name, first name, patronymic) and several women. They asked me "What will be next?" I had in mind some fragments from the speech of Comrade Stalin, which my students provided me from a dropped paper off airplane. I said that in the near future a Second Front should be opened and then the Germans would quickly ride back to the west. There was an opposite opinion (indicates the surname, name, patronymic), which stated "That we will never drive out a German with his equipment, etc." and I had to persuade for a long time against his proofs, in which we had a greater dispute. At this time, our kolkhoz people suggested that it was impossible to convince him and to leave him alone. The second incident happened due to the lack of conscientiousness of the kolkhoznik (specifies the surname, name, patronymic) from the village Zhilkino, who brought a German soldier to me and together with him they began to persuade me make felt boots, for which I was offered a bag of flour, alcohol and something else. She believed that I had many people to feed (there were 9 people) and I would go for it. But when I refused them, then the German wanted to force me with a serious threat, with which he came twice, but all this went well without more serious consequences with the support of our kolkhozniks. These facts can be confirmed by a number of female kolkhozniks of the "Selkor" kolkhoz of the Dudorov village and the same (indicates the surname and initials of the woman who brought the German). After the liberation of our village, persons from the special Department of the army were associated with me, who helped me to start work on the restoration of the "Selkor" kolkhoz of the Dudorovsky village in Vysokovsky district, i.e. draw up a kolkhoz board, select foremen, take into account the remaining property and start threshing rye, which survived more than half a hundred haystacks, in exchange for which we received seeds not only for our kolkhoz, but also provided assistance to other kolkhozniks. At about the end of January or February 1942, the executive committee of the Vysokovsky district council assigned me to work as Chairman of the Dudorovsky village. I worked there until October 1942. On October 8, 1942, through the Vysokovsky Commissariat, I was mobilized into the Red Army and sent through the Kalinin transit depot, to the Kalinin front in the 199th Reserve Regiment, where I was enlisted as a Senior Clerk of the 3rd company and at the same time was assigned as the Secretary of the Communist party organization which lasted until November 11, 1943 ... On the night of November 10-11, 1943, I was badly burned while saving documents during a fire at the headquarters and was sent to a hospital for treatment. In February 1944, I returned home disabled from severe burns to the limbs of my arms and legs. ... A.P. Smirnov. "
