PLACE OF BIRTH: Ulan-Khol village, Kaspiysky district, Republic of Kalmykia DATE OF BIRTH: 05.03.1921 DATE OF DEATH: - HISTORY: Galina Lidzhieva was born on March 5, 1921 in Ulan-Khol village of Kaspiysky district, Republic of Kalmykia. She graduated from 7 classes, and entered the Astrakhan pedagogical school. After the interview among of 20 students there were three of them: Gusinov Matsg Idrisovich, Murygina Nadezhda Yakovlevna, Khatueva Galina Khulhachievna. After studying for six months, she fell ill and returned home. After recovering, she completed short-term teaching courses in Elista. After graduation, she worked as a primary school teacher. In 1941 the Great Patriotic war began, and all young men went to the front. As an active member of the Komsomol Khatuev Galina was elected as first Secretary of the Komsomol of Ulan-Khol. From the first days of the election, she organized young people to help the front: they sewed warm clothes for the red army, collected things, knitted mittens and socks. They distributed the state loan among the population. In 1942, the construction of the Astrakhan–Kizlyar railway began. A lot of work was done to mobilize people for the construction of the embankment. In December 1943, Galina were deported along with the other kalmyks in Siberia. She was appointed responsible for the car. On the way, she fell ill with typhoid and thanks to people reached Siberia: they hid the fact that there was an ill person in the car. At the last station, wagons from the collective farms were waiting for them. The Chairman of a collective farm took her with other families, because they needed a person who knows Russian and is literate. In the spring, after recovering, she began working as an accountant on a collective farm. After working for several months, she found out where her parents were, with whom she lost contact in her homeland, as she was being evicted from another place, where she was on a business trip. Arriving at her parents' home, Galina got a job as an accountant. In June 1945, she married Lidzhiev Tavin Dzhanaevich. In December 1946, together with her family, Galina Khulkhachievna moved to the Kyrgyz SSR. Since 1948 she worked as an accountant until leaving for her homeland. In 1957 and until 1973, she worked as an accountant at The Yashkul veterinary station. After retirement, she worked until 1978 as a gas station attendant at the meat farm “Adykovsky”. In December 1960, her husband died due to illness. Galina Khulkhachievna was left with 7 children. She gave everyone an education. Galina Khulkhachievna has 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was awarded of two medals for motherhood, the Stalin medal of the homefront worker of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Veteran of Labour medal in 1978, jubilee medals "50 years of Victory in great Patriotic war", "60 years of Victory in the WWII" April 2005, "65 years of Victory in the WWII" March 2009.
