Klishin Georgy Zakharovich

G.Z.Klishin was born in 1919 in the village of Ulei, Staroyuryevsky district, in a peasant family. In 1939 George was drafted into the army, he had the chance to fight with the white Finns. In the Great Patriotic War he was tank commander of the famous "thirty-four" cannon. An experienced soldier distinguished himself in many battles with the enemy, which began on the southern front in December of the forty-first year. Proof of this were the awards - the Order of the Red Star and the Patriotic War of Second Degree. A brave warrior takes part in the liberation of many towns and villages in Ukraine. In January-February 1945 he distinguished himself in the fighting on the territory of Poland. On January 23, 1945, the vanguard, which included KLISHIN's car, reached the Oder near Steinau and fought a battle for the bridge. KLISHIN was the first to reach the Oder crossing. By firing enemy infantry on the bridge, he did not allow the enemy to blow up the bridge, but allowed his troops to cross to the opposite bank. On January 26, the 29th motorized brigade of Colonel A. E. Efimov crossed the Oder by improvised means in the area of the settlements Tarnsdorf and Diban. During the combat operations of the 1st Tank Battalion in the battles for crossing the Cherna Nida and the Oder, he proved to be an extraordinarily brave, courageous and determined commander of the t-3 tank cannon. As part of the crew, KLISHIN destroyed three enemy T-4 tanks, two Tiger tanks, a Panther tank, 4 armored personnel carriers and up to seventy enemy soldiers and officers. By decree of the Presidium of Supreme Soviet the USSR of April 10, 1945 for heroism and courage shown in fights with the Nazi invaders, the guard sergeant of the 62nd guard Perm-Keletsky tank brigade with red banner of the 10th guard tank Ural -Lviv red flag command of the Volunteer Corps Suvorov and Kutuzov KLISHIN G. Z. was awarded the title Hero of Soviet Union. Sergeant G. Z. KLISHIN died on February 10, 1945. At the age of 25, Georgy KLISHIN was appointed as a Hero of Soviet Union.
