At the beginning of World War II, on July 1, 1941, he was mobilized by the Circassian District Military Commissariat of the Circassian Autonomous Region in the 150th Cavalry Regiment of the 38th Separate Cavalry Division, which participated in fierce battles in the area of Styla, Stalin, Rudnik, Chukovsky, Khartsyzsk, Zugress, Skosyrskaya, Angry, Loose, Stalin's (Donetsk) region. In the battles for the city Zugres was wounded and on October 27, 1941 he was sent to the hospital. In May 1942, the 38th Cavalry Division was killed in encirclement, the remaining units of the division were disbanded on July 15, 1942, and at the same time he was enlisted as a mortarman in the 516th Infantry Regiment of the 107th Infantry Division, which took part in the Battle of Stalingrad. In 1943, the 516th rifle regiment as part of the 107th rifle division took part in fierce battles for the liberation of the Voronezh region: Ostrogozhsk, Uryv, Oryol, Devetsa, Korotoyak, Berezovo, Kolpino, Ternovka, Guborevka, Veretie. On July 15, 1943, the 516th rifle regiment, defending the lines against the breakthrough of the enemy's tank in the city of Korocha, Belgorod region, repelling two attacks of enemy tanks and going over to counter-offensives liberated the settlements: Kazachye, B. Olshanets, Znamenka. During fierce battles on July 22, 1943 in the village of Znamenka, he was seriously wounded and taken to a hospital in the city of Voronezh, where he underwent treatment until November 1943. After a long treatment in the hospital, by the decision of the commission, he was commissioned as fit for non-combatant service, according to article 44, by order of the NCO No. 33-42 of November 21, 43 and returned to his native village. He married Bzhunaeva Kula Ilyasovna, they raised 4 sons and 2 daughters. The Soviet command highly appreciated the military merits of Khadzhibekir Tsuovich and he has military awards: "For courage", "For the defense of Stalingrad", "For victory over Germany." From 1944 to 1947 he worked as chairman of the Besleneevsky village council. From 1947 to 1957 he was the chairman of the Kaganovich collective farm. From 1957 to 1962 he was the head of the economic department of the state farm "Besleneevsky". From 1962 to 1967 he was the head of the pedigree animal base of the Besleneevsky state farm. He retired in 1967. After a long illness due to wounds received in battles, he died at the age of 61.
