Gayvoron Nikolai Trifonovich was born in Kiev on December 14, 1910 in the family of an employee - laboratory assistant Professor Slezkin at Kiev University. After the revolution he was forced to move to the town of Yagotin, near Kiev, because the family had 6 children and had nowhere to work. His mother died when he was not 2 years old. They lived very poorly, they lived on what they grew on their own land of 1.5 hectares. He had to work since childhood, because of this, he went to school three years later than his peers. He took it as an external student of the 3rd grade, so that later he was enrolled in the 4th. After graduating from the seven-year school, he entered the Pyriatinsky Industrial College, the department of "Cold metal working". Graduated from technical school in 1933. For a short time he worked as a mechanic and technician at the Pereyaslavskaya MTS (machine and tractor station). In the fall of 1933, he was called up to serve in the 6th Andijan Rifle Regiment, where he was sent to a regimental school, to a machine gun platoon. In 1933, after graduating with honors from the regimental school, he received the rank and was appointed to the post of foreman of the same school. After completing military service in the spring of 1936, he remained on long service. In the fall of 1936, the regiment received a schedule for studying at the Moscow Military School named after the All-Union Central Executive Committee (All-Union Central Executive Committee), then it was also called "School No. 1". Later, this school was renamed the school named after the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, only super-conscripts with secondary education were recruited there. During his studies, he participated in parades on Red Square twelve times. In connection with the events on Khalkin-Gol, graduation was ahead of schedule, without final exams in 1939. After graduation, he was left in this school as a cadet platoon commander, where he served until the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. In July 1941, he was sent to the forming 8th division of the People's Militia of the Krasnopresnensky District of Moscow as battalion commander of the 23rd Infantry Regiment. As part of the division, he participated in the defense of Moscow in the positions of battalion commander, chief of staff of a regiment, chief of the operational department of a division headquarters. As the chief of the operational department of the headquarters of the 338th Infantry Division of the 49th Army of the Western Front (commanders Timoshenko and Zhukov), in 1943 he participated in breaking through the enemy's defenses in the Yukhnovo area. After this breakthrough, he was recalled to the Headquarters Reserve of the Supreme Commander. At this time, in connection with the large losses of the junior and middle command personnel of the infantry forces, it was decided to train these commanders right at the front from among those who had already fought. Courses were organized, and he was appointed first as a teacher, and later - as a senior teacher, deputy head of courses. He taught firearms training and tactics. After the end of the war in 1946 and 1947, as a senior lecturer on courses in Lviv, he participated in operations to eliminate Bandera, where students of these courses were involved in the implementation of major operations, since they consisted of military officers who had gone through the war. Demobilized in January 1957 with the rank of colonel. Wounded three times. He was awarded medals "For Military Merit", "For the Defense of Moscow", "For Victory over Germany", Orders of the Red Banner of Battle, Red Star, and the Patriotic War. He died in Simferopol on March 28, 1999.
