He also became a sniper there. Later participated in the liberation of the left- and right-bank Ukraine, including the Zhytomyr-Berdichev operation and the liberation of Berdichev, the Proskurov-Chernivtsi operation and the liberation of Vinnytsia, the Lvov-Sandomierz operation and the liberation of Lvov. Then his division left the territory of Poland in the Eastern Carpathians and took part in the Carpathian-Duklinsky (1st Ukrainian Front) and Yaslo-Gorlinsky (4th Ukrainian Front) operations. During the last operation, the division crossed the Vistula River. In January-March 1945, V. Bezgolosov destroyed 69 Hitlerites, more than once showing skill and resourcefulness. In street battles in the city of Czechowice Dziedzice (Silesian Voivodeship, Poland), German snipers delayed the advance of our infantry. V. Bezgolosov destroyed four enemy snipers, after which the infantry successfully completed its combat mission. In the battles for the bridgehead on the Vistula River, V. Bezgolosov participated in the Moravian-Ostrava operation from March 24, 1945. His division was the part of the 38th Army. By this time, since the summer of 1943, he had destroyed 279 German soldiers and officers. During this time, he trained 67 soldiers in sniper skills. They together killed more than 600 fascists. In the battles for the city of Moravska Ostrava (now the Czech Republic) and during the crossing of the Odra River on April 30, 1945, Sergeant V. Bezgolosov destroyed 8 Hitlerites.
