Sedov Anatoly Nikolaevich is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, fighter pilot, Knight of the Order of the Patriotic War I and II degree, Order of the Red Banner, Order of the Red Star, Order of Alexander Nevsky, medals "For courage", "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." etc.
Sedov Anatoly Nikolaevich was born on March 5, 1922 in the village of Baranovka, Kurilovsky district, Saratov region, since 1925 he lived in the city of Volsk, Saratov province in the family of a railway worker. In 1939, Anatoly Sedov was drafted into the army, from where he was sent by the command to a Military Aviation School. At the final exams, he passed most of the subjects with excellent marks and became a fighter pilot. After graduating from college in 1940, he was sent to one of the Aviation units. At the front of the Patriotic War, he has been participating since July 1941 in 321 BBAPs to 3 TAPs. Being in 321 BBAP made 24 sorties on the PE-3 aircraft to bomb the enemy troops.
During a raid on the enemy garrison in Velikiye Luki, finding point 3A of the enemy, which was firing at a group of aircraft, he was out of order from a dive and silenced him with his fire. While carrying out a combat mission on January 6, 1943, the enemy's 3A was hit and followed home on one engine, was attacked by enemy ME-109f fighters. His plane caught fire in the air. Courageously fighting enemy fighters, his crew shot down the enemy aircraft, despite the flames of their aircraft, they continued to fight. It was only when the plane became uncontrollable that the crew was thrown out by parachute, and the last one left the plane, being wounded. He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for excellent performance of the command assignment.
After the hospital, he returned and continued service in 3 TAPs since March 1943, he had been working at LI-2, during this time he has flown over 1000 hours on the plane and made about 400 hundred cross-country flights to relocate aviation units to the front line. In total, transported 840 people and 58 tons of cargo.
Until the end of the war, he worked on the transportation of goods and personnel, both on long-distance flights Moscow-Kiev and back, and on domestic transportation. After the end of the war, he lived in the city of Moscow and worked in Civil Aviation, on a strategic reconnaissance bomber RS in command. After finishing his career as a pilot, he retired and moved to the city of Samara for permanent residence. Anatoly Nikolayevich died on June 18, 2005 at the age of 84, and was buried there.
