Since 1971 - captain. On the combat account of the regiment, in which N.A. Katkov served, 79 downed fascist aircraft, dozens of destroyed enemy firing points, hundreds of neutralized enemy soldiers and officers. Nikolai Katkov was awarded: - Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree and medals: - "For the liberation of Prague" - "For the capture of Berlin" - "For valor", etc. The total length of service in the USSR Armed Forces is 16 years. Nikolai Alexandrovich died on November 30, 2016.
