Perepadya Lavrentiy Borisovich

Full name: Perepadya Lavrenty Borisovich _x000D_ CITY: St. Georgievskaya Stavropol territory _x000D_ DATE of BIRTH: 25.08.1925 _x000D_ DATE of DEATH: 14.09.1944 _x000D_ _x000D_ HISTORY: The story of the uncle on the father's side-perepadya Lavrenty Borisovich is very short, 19 years long. And there is only one award - The order of the Red Star, which was not awarded because he was wounded in the battle of Grodno in September 1944 and went missing. He was born on August 25, 1925 in the village of Georgievskaya, Kuban region, Stavropol territory in the family of a Cossack collective farm accountant perepadya Boris Mareevich. There were three children, and he was the eldest. The family was hardworking, lived in prosperity. This was the reason for the dekulakization and exile of the father in 1937 under article 58 (Ten years without the right of correspondence). The father did not return home, the family was left without a breadwinner. From the age of 12, Lavrusha helped his mother. I finished my seven-year course and dreamed of studying further. But the war made its own adjustments. In may 1943, Lavrenty was less than 18 years old and he, like his other fellow villagers, was sent to study at the Ordzhonikidze military infantry school. Letters from Lavrusha to his native village did not come often. Sometimes they were full of strikeouts from the military censor. It was impossible to write too much. But they had so much respect and respect for my mother, relatives, friends! They have turned yellow for 70 years. At the creases, they are worn out, not all the text can be read. But every time my heart stops when I read these lines: "Today is August 25, a big day. The day of my birth. I only lived for 19 years. Entered the 20th year of his life. Mom, I didn't even notice how 19 years passed. In the twentieth year of my life, I will finish the German-fascist invaders. Mom, I don't know how it is at home, here the day of the 25th was clear, warm, calm… Today I met my friend from the village Makeyev, Fyodor in the city of Rezekne (Smiley face) (Latvia)... "There were no more letters. Then came a notification with the standard wording " Citizen perepadya Anna Prokhorovna that her son perepadya Lavrenty Borisovich, while at the front, was missing." Signature. Print.… And all. No, not all of them! In November 1944, a new notification arrived. It said that "your son second Lieutenant Lawrence B. perepada for exemplary performance of fighting tasks of command at the front struggle with German-fascist invaders and displaying valor and bravery awarded by the government award order "Red Star", which he received in connection with the retirement of his wound in the hospital." That's it now. No appeals to the military enlistment office were successful. It was only in August 1969 that some details became clear. My grandmother Anna Prokhorovna, together with the family of my younger son Nikolay (my father), already lived in Cherkessk. There she was found by her son's fellow soldier Bogatyrev Vasily Davidovich. He said that his commander, Lavrenty Borisovich, was seriously wounded near Grodno, in Belarus. A plywood bus carrying the wounded to the hospital came under fire. Nothing else is known. And the award was never given to anyone. Granny and I thought about this injustice for a long time. Time, of course, is lost. And there is no point in looking for the culprits. The time after the war was like this. Many archives were classified. But there is still hope to return my great-grandfather's well-deserved award to our family. And we will try to do it.
