Solomatov Alexander Vasilyevich was born on March 8, 1924, in the city of Khem-Beldyr, Tannu-Tuva People's Republic (now it is the city of Kyzyl of the Tyva Republic). He began his career at the age of 16 in the Tuva Regional Council of Trade Unions, as a sorter of furs. On May 25, 1943, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army - and after graduating from a tank regimental school in December 1943, as a 19-year-old junior technician-lieutenant, he went to the front as part of the 56th Guards Tank Brigade of the 3rd Tank Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front. After the end of World War II, he was sent to the Far East as part of the 77th Army Self-Propelled Heavy Tank Regiment. He took part in the Soviet-Japanese war, was seriously wounded. By order of 06.09.1946, No. 0496, he was dismissed from the USSR Armed Forces due to injury. After demobilization, he devoted his life to serving the law and fighting crime. He worked where combat training was required, his life experience and dedication to the profession, duty and honor - having given service in the prosecutor's office for more than 30 years. In 1970, Alexander Timofeevich Solomatov graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University, received a higher legal education. He served as an intern in the investigation department of the Tuva regional prosecutor's office, later as an investigator and senior investigator of the prosecutor's office in the city of Kyzyl, later as an assistant to the prosecutor of the city of Kyzyl, then as a prosecutor of the city of Kyzyl and prosecutor of the Ulug-Khem region of the Tuva ASSR. Subsequently, he served as a prosecutor and senior prosecutor of the investigation department of the prosecutor's office of the Tuva ASSR. He worked in the judiciary for over 10 years, was a people's judge of the Piy-Khem region. For about two years he worked in the elective position of deputy chairman of the executive committee of people's deputies. For his personal and professional qualities, the residents of the districts elected him a deputy of the district Council of People's Deputies and a people's judge - but he again returned to the prosecutor's office, to the most difficult and responsible area of ​​the fight against crime. Alexander Timofeevich Solomatov was fluent in the Tuvan language. His competence in the history of Tuva, knowledge of the traditions and customs of the local population, combined with his goodwill and respect for people, adherence to principles and exactingness in upholding the rights and freedoms of citizens contributed to raising the authority of the law among the population - and Alexander Timofeevich himself was an example for all employees of the prosecutor's office Tuvinian ASSR. In the conditions of a transitional period and the departure of many specialists from the prosecutor's office, the aggravation of the crime situation and interethnic relations, despite his age - Alexander Timofeevich Solomatov in December 1992 readily responded to the request of the leadership of the republican prosecutor's office to help young workers in organizing the investigation of serious crimes, supervision of preliminary investigation and operational-search activities in the internal affairs bodies. Every third criminal case of premeditated murder passed through his hands, according to which they were given instructions and advice on organizing the investigation. In particularly complex criminal cases, he himself took a direct part in the production of investigative actions carried out by young investigators, regardless of personal time. Continuing to remain in the team, he gave lectures and talks in front of various audiences, passed on his many years of experience to the new generation, being an example of loyalty to the profession and duty to the law. In 1996, he retired from the prosecutor's office and on October 8, 1996, after a serious illness, he died. For many years and conscientious work in the prosecutor's office he received state and departmental awards.
