Sukhorukov Ivan Vasilievich was born on November 25, 1908 in the Popovka settlement of the Kasharsky district of the Rostov Region. He graduated from School, worked as an Accountant on a kolkhoz, then moved to his brother in the Kalachevsky district of the Stalingrad Region, where he continued to work. _x000D_ On the advice of his brother, in 1935 he entered the Stalingrad Pedagogical School at the correspondence Department. He went to work in an Elementary School as a village Teacher. In 1938 he married Elizaveta Semyonovna Odinyova, who was invited to teach at the same School where Ivan Vasilievich worked. _x000D_ In 1941, on August 24, Ivan Vasilyevich Sukhorukov was summoned to the military enlistment office of the Kalachevsky district and sent to Stalingrad. The recruits were loaded into wagons and sent towards Ukraine, brought to Kiev. On the way, their echelonwas was repeatedly fired upon by the Germans. He served in the 261st Infantry Regiment, as a communications operator. The Regiment was transferred to Poland. From Poland - to the 3rd Belorussian Front, to East Prussia, then to Germany. _x000D_ Memories of Ivan Vasilyevich about the war: _x000D_ "From January 13 to April 26 there was one of the largest operations of the Great Patriotic War, German troops in East Prussia capitulated, the war was over for us." Ivan Vasilyevich Sukhorukov had the following awards: medal "For Courage", medal "For Capture of Konigsberg", medal "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." _x000D_ During demobilization, a fellow soldier advised Ivan Vasilyevich to go to the Kuban, saying that in the spring it was possible to survive there eating just grass. Therefore, in 1946, the family of Ivan Vasilyevich Sukhorukov from the Kalachevsky district of the Stalingrad Region moved to the village of Kievskoe in the Crimean district of the Krasnodar Territory. Ivan Vasilyevich continued to work in his specialty, headed an Elementary School in the village of Kiev. Before retirement, he led a musical string club at School, the children loved him very much. He raised four children: two sons and two daughters; planted a nice garden, a large number of different varieties of vineyards. _x000D_ Ivan Vasilievich was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. He managed to nurse his grandchildren: Alexander Nikolaevich Sukhorukov and Yulia Nikolaevna Sukhorukova, walked at their weddings and managed to hold his first great-grandchildren in his arms—Sukhorukova Evgenia Alexandrovna and Avramenko Dmitry Vladimirovich. In his spare time I.V. Sukhorukov was engaged in vineyards and beekeeping, was a social activist among the beekeepers of the village of Kiev. _x000D_ He was a very cheerful person, loved to read a lot, played the accordion, loved to sing. He passed away on September 13, 1988. He was buried in the village of Kievskoye, Krymsky district, Krasnodar Territory.
