Dorovskikh Sergey Ivanovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Sergey Ivanovich dorovskikh was born in 1913, in the village of Dorovskaya More-Shurminskaya volost of Urzhumsky uyezd of Vyatka province (now it is the territory of Shurminsky rural settlement of Urzhumsky district of Kirov region). Participated in the Soviet-Finnish war (from December 1939 to March 1940). After demobilization, he worked in the Krasnoyarsk territory. He left for the Great Patriotic war in August 1941 and was called up by the Yartsevsky RVC of the Krasnoyarsk territory. As Sergey Ivanovich himself recalled: "A barge was going along the Yenisei river-from the village of Yartsevo to the city of Kazachinsk, they collected all those who were liable for military service along the way and took them to Krasnoyarsk. They were taken from Krasnoyarsk to Murmansk. From there, they were already sent to the Karelian front, to the border with Norway and Finland." Sergey Ivanovich told how hard it was at the beginning of the war: "We were given one rifle for five people, and after the cartridges ran out, the rifle was used as a stick." In a battle on April 14, 1942, he was wounded in the leg. After treatment in the hospital, he served as a scout Rifleman in the 148th separate reconnaissance company in the 114th Svir rifle division. On August 12, 1944, he was awarded the order of Glory of the III degree — for saving the wounded Deputy commander of the battalion in the political unit during the battle (the award found him only in 1996). He was also awarded the medal "for the defense of the Soviet Arctic "and the medal" for the victory over Germany in the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945". as Sergey Ivanovich said, many submissions for awards were lost, as the commander was often killed before he submitted award documents for soldiers. He returned home at the end of may 1945. In 1985, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Victory, he was awarded the order of the Patriotic war II degree. He died in 1998.
