Vorobiev Stepan Ivanovich Vorobiev

Yeoman of the Reserve, born in 1911, member of the CPSU, born in the Ryazan region. He started the war as an ordinary soldier and finished as a platoon commander. Being under constant enemy fire and bombardment, he built for our troops fortifications and crossings over water borders, mined the approach and defused enemy mines. About eight thousand defused mines have been personally accounted for. He was especially distinguished in the battles of forcing the Oder River and attacking Berlin. After the war he worked for the Primorsky Shipping Company.
