CITY: Lipetsk DATE OF BIRTH: 02/02/1925 DATE OF DEATH: 03/13/1995 HISTORY: Sergey Tarasovich Antonov was born on 02/02/1925 in the city of Lipetsk. From childhood he was fond of sports, wanted to become a teacher, like his mother, Elizaveta Makedonovna Antonova, who taught at the Pedagogical School in Lipetsk. In 1941, as a sixteen-year-old boy, having attributed to himself two years, he volunteered for the front. Sergey Tarasovich began his service as a machine gunner of a special active reconnaissance detachment. Fought in partisan detachments of the Oryol and Bryansk regions. In March 1942 he was seriously wounded and hospitalized. From September 1942 to 1944 Sergei Tarasovich is an air gunner-radio operator of the 284th and 315th air divisions on the second Baltic front. Rank: Corporal. In one of the battles, his plane was shot down, and from December 1944 to May 1945. he was being treated in a hospital in Riga. Returning from the war shell-shocked, with multiple wounds, he did not want to consider himself an invalid. In 1945, Sergei Tarasovich entered the Lipetsk Mining and Metallurgical College, which he graduated in 1948. After graduating from the technical school, he worked as a foreman at the Krasny Oktyabr plant in Stalingrad, then as a DSO instructor at the Svobodny Sokol metallurgical plant in Stalingrad. Lipetsk. In the postwar years, Sergei Tarasovich was actively involved in various sports. From 1952 to 1985 worked as a physics teacher at secondary school No. 19 in Lipetsk. In 1953, Sergey Tarasovich entered the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute and graduated in 1956 with a degree in mathematics and physics. In the sixties, Sergey Tarasovich Antonov gave many open lessons for teachers in the city of Lipetsk and other cities of our country. In 1963, the Lipetsk Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers published a collection of problems in physics based on local material, which was co-authored by Sergei Tarasovich. In 1963 he improved his scientific qualifications at the Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, where he actively promotes the Lipetsk experience. They were given lectures on the restructuring of the lesson, how the teacher must carefully think over each stage of the lesson, so that the work is varied, independent, creative, interesting, develops mental activity, curiosity, and intelligence of students. After completing the courses, Sergei Tarasovich shares his new knowledge with the teachers of the city through seminars, workshops, open lessons, speeches at theoretical and practical conferences at IUU and LGPI. He delivers reports on the following topics: "Methodology for solving problems in physics", "Special issues of low-temperature physics", "On the demonstration of physical experiments", etc. Closely cooperates with G.I. Gorskoy, working on the optimization of the educational process. Physics lessons from Sergei Tarasovich Antonov had a practical orientation. Pedagogical tact, clarity of purpose, problematic at each stage of training, the introduction of entertaining moments in the lesson helped Sergei Tarasovich to achieve a high level of knowledge. The work at the school was systematic and creative. The teacher combined the scientific nature of teaching physics with accessibility, ensured that all students work with enthusiasm, skillfully applied visualization and technical teaching aids. His students could generalize knowledge on the topic studied, concentrate it around core ideas and theories, and identify the main thing in the educational material. The physics cabinet, which he was in charge, was considered one of the best in the city. His authority was high among his parents, students, colleagues at work. Sergei Tarasovich did a lot of social work at the school. Almost permanent member of the local committee. Member of the CPSU since 1974. For many years of fruitful work Sergei Tarasovich Antonov was awarded certificates of honor, the badge "Excellent worker of public education". On March 13, 1995, after a serious illness, Sergei Tarasovich passed away. He did not live long enough to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Victory. In the memory of his students, Sergei Tarasovich will remain a life-loving, sociable, energetic, creative and talented person.
