Ennik Pavel Grigorievich

As a child, he actively played sports and dreamed of becoming a circus performer. As a young man, he joined a troupe of a circus touring the South of Russia and performed gymnastic routines for about a year. In 1940, he was called up for service in the Red Army by the Vannovsky regional military commissariat of the Krasnodar territory. He was a participant of the war since June 22, 1941 – Western front), from June 1942 – Bryansk front, from December 1942-Kalinin front, from June 1943-Voronezh front, from December 1943 – 1st Ukrainian front. Military post – Guard Private First Class, gunner of the anti-aircraft artillery division 1st Order Lenin Tank Brigade. He participated in the battles on the Kursk bulge, the battles near Prokhorovka, etc. Pavel Ennik was awarded of Order of the Patriotic war 2nd Class, two medals "For Courage" and others. Summary of personal combat feat: Order on awarding of the medal "For Courage" 06.01.44: "In the battles with the German invaders the soldier showed courage and fearlessness. Working as an anti-aircraft gunner, his gun during the great Patriotic war shot down 8 enemy aircraft. On January 2, 1944 over the battle lines of parts the plane PR-ka "X-III" appeared, which bombed and shelled the battle lines of our troops. Ennik first opened accurate and intense fire and shot it down." Ennik finished the war in Czechoslovakia. On April 21, 1945 in one of the battles, he was seriously wounded. He met the victory in the hospital. After the war, he graduated from the Ashgabat pedagogical school and special courses for speech and language therapists in Moscow. Most of his life he worked as a teacher and tutor in an orphanage in Krasnaya Polyana. He died on February 3, 2016.
