16th SMOLENSK PARTISAN BRIGADE, which fought Krasovskii Ephraim I. created 28 Jul 1942 in Casblanca district of Smolensk region based on units Telishevska V. I. and A. S. Leshcheva, allocated to the 3rd brigade connection "dad". Later, 6 more detachments were organized as part of the brigade. Until the spring of 1943, the brigade was called the 5th, operated in the Smolensk region (in the Kasplyansky and Rudnyansky districts), in March 1943. relocated in Vileyka and Vitebsk region of Belarus. During three years of fighting, the brigade defeated 16 punitive detachments, suppressed 53 enemy garrisons, destroyed several thousand enemy soldiers and officers, and derailed dozens of echelons. The brigade's combat path ended in Lithuania on the outskirts of Vilnius. It joined the Red Army on July 4, 1944 as part of 7 detachments with a total of 637 partisans. Brigade commanders: T. G. He passed a glorious military path as part of the 16th Smolensk partisan brigade and died heroically in battle with the German-fascist invaders on June 27, 1944, a week before the partisan brigade joined the red Army.
