Komarov Nikolai Pavlovich

Rank: Sergeant. Military Branch: Artillery. Komarov N. P. was born in 1924 in v. Pryasnodoi, the Kokoulinsky/Darovsky district in the Kirov region, in a large farming family with six children. He was left without a father at an early age and endured all the hardships of peasant life. He studied at the Molotov elementary school, then at the Verkhovondansk seven-year school. After the liquidation of the village, the family moved to Darovskaya, where he graduated eighth grade. The Great Patriotic War began. On August 9, 1942, when he was not yet 18 years old, he was called up for military service and sent to training courses for commanders of the "R. S." gun facility (December 1942 - February 1943). After completing the course he fought and then served in the rocket artillery of the mortar regiment of the 90th Guard ("Katyusha") until 1947. The mortar regiment of the 90th Guard was sent to Stalingrad. Fierce fighting began, the regiment suffered heavy losses, but continued to fight. To Stalingrad - the western front, then Bryansk and the Baltic Sea. On 13 October 1944 the regiment entered the capital of Latvia - Riga. Victory Day was celebrated by the mortar guards in Latvia. The regiment was awarded the Alexander Nevsky Order in 1944. After the war, Nikolai Pavlovich worked and studied in absentia. He graduated from the Khalturinsky Pedagogical School and then from the Kirov Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Geography. He worked in the department of physical education and sports, in an orphanage and then in the eight-year Bobrow School as a teacher of geography, physics and work training. Twice Nikolai Pavlovich went to meetings with other soldiers. More than a generation of school children remember him as a wonderful teacher, a friendly person who worked hard, was not afraid of work and had a great sense of humor. He loved nature, he liked hunting and fishing, picking mushrooms and berries. Awarded: Medals of the Patriotic War II, medals "for military merit" and others. For conscientious work he was awarded the medal "Veteran of Work", has many certificates. He died on June 18, 2003. The good memory of Nikolai Pavlovich is preserved in the hearts of his relatives and all his students.
