Pastukhov V. F.

For Venedikt Fyodorovich, the war began earlier than many. In 1938, in the artillery division in the far East, near lake Khasan, with the rank of Sergeant. He had to fight with the Japanese samurai, who then captured the hills of Zaozernaya and Bezymyannaya. For the Patriotic war, he was mobilized from its first days as part of the 326th rifle division, which was formed in Mordovia. In the rank of captain, as the commander of a communications company, he joined the battle with the Nazi invaders near Moscow. His combat path took place as part of the division that liberated Smolensk, Kiev, crossed the Dnieper, liberated Vinnytsia, then in Czechoslovakia - liberated Krakow, took the Duklinsky pass, Moravian Ostrava, Prague. He was wounded twice. He was first wounded on February 8, 1942. Then the Nazis, at any cost, tried to stop the offensive of the Soviet troops near Moscow, raining down on them a hail of shells and mines, bombing followed one after another, it was then barely dug up after an air RAID. He did not go to the rear hospital, but remained to be treated in the divisional medical unit. And again in battle. The second time was wounded near Smolensk. He met the end of the war in Prague, with the rank of major. He was awarded the order of the red star and the Order of the great Patriotic war 2 degrees and 10 medals, of which he considered the most expensive - "for Courage" and "for the defense of Moscow", and the Czech government awarded him a medal - "for Dukla", which he was also proud of. After the end of the war, he worked for almost 20 years in the construction and installation train "Vodrem-29" of the Kuibyshev dorstroytrest. He constantly conducted a great military-Patriotic work, met with young people-speaking in schools, colleges, technical schools. And most importantly, he was a very decent man, a kind and loving father and grandfather.
