Boldin Mitrofan

Military branch: the Soviet Navy and naval forces of the NKVD border troops. Mitrofan Boldin was born in 1913 in the village of Purdoshki, Penza province, Krasnoslobodsky district, which still stands on the Moksha river. In his native village, Mitrofan completed a 3-grade primary school. The Boldin family grew, and three other boys were born besides Mitrofan: Pavel, Ivan, Nikolay, and three girls: Anastasia, Anna, Maria. Parents, Evdokim Ivanovich, and Praskovya Ivanovna dreamed of a happy life for their children. It was decided to build a spacious house so that everyone could live comfortably and joyfully in it. Currently, the Boldin house, nationalized by the Soviet government, is a kindergarten "Teremok". Mitrofan was used to work from childhood, and was not afraid of any work. He was a handsome, strong, physically developed and hardy young man. He treated any work with respect, performed the assigned task conscientiously. From April 1, 1934 to August 25, 1937, Mitrofan worked as a seasonal woodcutter in the Caucasian forest center, as evidenced by the certificate he received on August 26, 1937. Its further fate is connected with the city of Pavlovo on the Oka, with the famous Zhdanov factory. The plant's products are widely known in our country, producing buses of the famous PAZ brand. Another major enterprise where he had to work was the Stalin plant. A year before the beginning of the great Patriotic war, on June 1, 1940, Mitrofan graduated from the photography course "Soyuzfoto" in the Department of photojournalists in Moscow. The red army soldier Mitrofan Boldin completed his short combat career in the Pacific fleet. The main tasks of the Pacific fleet consisted in the defense of the coast, the protection of its sea routes, the violation of the enemy's sea communications, and the organization of anti-amphibious defense of our coasts. Defensive minefields were set up on the approaches to Vladivostok, Sovetskaya Gavan, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In combination with coastal and naval artillery, they provided protection of our coasts from enemy landings and penetration of our bases by their ships. The task of combat training of the fleet personnel included the development of new equipment, the study and implementation of the combat experience of existing fleets. During the Great Patriotic war, part of the forces and assets of the Pacific fleet was transferred to the Northern fleet and participated in the battles on the Barents sea and other seas. More than 140,000 Pacific sailors fought on the fronts as part of naval rifle brigades and other units.
