Commander of the Signal Squad of the 4th Battery, 153th Guards Urazovsky Artillery Regiment, 73rd Guards Stalingrad Red Banner Rifle Division. Member of the CPSU (b) since March 1943. He was drafted into the Red Army in October 1941, by the Yashkin District Military Commissariate, Novosibirsk Region. He served in the rear units from October 1941 to July 1942. Participated in the Patriotic War: South Front - July 1942-August 1942, Stalingrad Front - August 1942-December 1942, Don Front - December 1942-April 1943, Voronezh Front - April 1943-July 1943, Steppe Front - July 1943-October 1943, 2nd Ukrainian Front - October 1943-February 1944, 3rd Ukrainian Front - from February 1944.

During the battles of 29.02.1944 in the area of the village of Kotovka in the Dolinsky District of the Kirovograd Region, he provided continuous communication between the firing position and the observation point. Within an hour, he eliminated 8 communication line gusts under enemy fire.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree -
On the right Bank of the Danube river near the village of Batin on 18.11.1944, the enemy repeatedly counterattacked our units trying to dislodge the last ones from the bridgehead. In these battles, under heavy artillery and machine-gun fire, comrade Berezovsky connected up to 30 telephone line gusts during the day, providing the ability to control battery fire. During one of the enemy's counterattacks on November 19, 1944, he destroyed 6 enemy soldiers with sub-machine gun fire.
