Photo shows 103rd Separate Women Battalion of Aerial Surveillance, Alert and Communication forces of Belorussian Front, getting prepared to cross state border between the USSR and Poland in town of Brest. Photo came to archive from Zoya Filippovna Parkhomenko (1924-2001), a participant in Great Patriotic War. She was drafted in 1942 in Chkalovsk region. She fought in the Don, Stalingrad, Belorussian fronts. She was seriously wounded in Poznan, discharged after treatment. After the war she lived and worked in Orenburg region and was buried in the town of Yasny.
