In 1943, Lena Kravtsova achieved sending to the front, became a medical instructor, then a paramedic. April 1944. Having successfully crossed the Dniester, our troops deployed to the city of Orgiev. In one of the sections of the flared battle, the Soviet soldiers had to lie down - the Nazis fired destructive fire. - Tanks! - the soldiers heard the voice of junior lieutenant Elena Kravtsova. The girl with a bunch of grenades rushed forward. Well-aimed throw, deafening explosion. The tank was enveloped in smoke. But Elena no longer heard the thunderous "Hurray-ah": a shell splinter cut her life off. Elena Kravtsova was posthumously awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Orgiev.
