Vladimir Vasilievich Demidov was born on 6 August 1926. When the war started, he was 15 years old. In 1943, after completing a short-term driver mechanic course, he was sent to the front and was appointed commander of the T-34 tank. He was wounded three times during the war. He was awarded the Medal "For Courage", "Order of the Red Star", "Order of Glory", the Medal "For the capture of Berlin" and many other medals. After the war, Dad continued to serve in the Soviet Army. In 1953, for health reasons, he was promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant. He died on 7 April 1987.
