Mikhail Yakovlevich Urazov

Physics teacher. Born on 22 September 1923. Graduated from Penza Teachers' Institute. Before the war he worked as a teacher. He was drafted to the front on November 14, 1941. He started military operations at Stalingrad. Served in the troops of Donetsk, then the Steppe Front, was until the end of the defeat of the Stalingrad group. Then the division was moved to the Orlov-Kursk Bulge. He participated in the liberation of Belgrade, Poland, Kremenchug and Aleksandrov, as part of the 2nd and then 3rd Ukrainian Fronts, as a senior radio telegrapher in the communications platoon of the Staff Battery of the Artillery Commander of the 214th Infantry Division.
