The Siberian Guardsmen of the 154th Howitzer Artillery Regiment of the 32nd Guards Siberian Division, commanded by a native of the village of Rodino, Vasily Kuzmich Chevgus, covered themselves with unfading glory. The soldiers defended the shrine of the Russian land - the Borodino field. The combat biography of Vasily Kuzmich began at Lake Khasan, where he fought Japanese samurai. In 1989 Sovkhoznaya street in the village of Rodino was renamed.
