Yuvkov A. T in 1940 graduated from the Navy communications school. He sailed on the Red Banner submarine of the Northern Fleet "S-101". Their ship defeated the first German caravan on the 3rd day of the war. Since July 1941, 15 ships of various classes have been sunk and a German submarine has been sunk. The return to base was each time accompanied by a victorious salute, from one to five shots at the number of enemy ships sunk. The last salute was in 1944 and it marked the death of the last destroyer. On May 9, 1945 submarine "S-101" was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of the Battle by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the SSR.
