Zinaida Yakovlevna Solyukova (worker in the rear) was born on October 12, 1926 in the village of Pavlovka, Ulyanovsk region, in a large family. Mother, Alexandra Ivanovna, had poor health, so the entire household was on the eldest daughter, Zinaida. The head of the family, Yakov Andreevich, worked as a shoemaker. Zinaida Yakovlevna graduated from the 7th grade of secondary school and got a job as a cutter at a local shoe factory. In 1947, when life began to improve slowly, Zinaida Yakovlevna left for the city of Nizhny Tagil, where she married a front-line soldier, Georgy Sidorovich Solyukov.
