Zornikov (Umnov) Alexander Pavlovich (August 23, 1914 Tomsk - January 21, 1971, Irkutsk) - the eldest son of Maria Amvrosimovna from his first marriage with the Cossack Umnov. As an adult, Alexander met his own father, the Cossack Umnov. This meeting was decisive. Alexander decided that from that day on he would be Zornikov, and took the last name and patronymic of his stepfather - Pavel Sergeevich Zornikov. In 1931, Sasha completed 6 classes. In 1932 he entered the 4th Military Technical School in Irkutsk. He graduated from it in 1933 - this was the first graduation from IVVATU (Irkutsk Higher Military Technical School), becoming a flight military engineer - technician. On December 20, 1933, he began to live in Omsk with his beloved girlfriend - Dmitrieva Lyudmila Iosifovna. A year later, on December 21, 1934, he first became the father of Arkady Alexandrovich. In 1937, on July 14, his daughter was born - Zornikova Alla Alexandrovna. Since that year, his mother began to live with them - Zornikova Maria Amvrosievna. He was a participant in the Second World War. But he did not like to talk about the war. We know little about his exploits. But all these little fragments are very important to us. For him, the war ended on May 11, 1945 in Czechoslovakia. They were transferred that day to another airport. The plane in which Alexander Pavlovich was flying was fired upon by the Nazis. After landing on the plane, more than 20 holes were found. General Sloboda presented the pilots and our grandfather with the Czechoslovak Cross "For Courage". Grandfather, having gone to the reserve, had the right to wear a military uniform. He served in the army for 25 years. He retired with the rank of major. Has awards. I chose the permanent place of residence in Irkutsk.
