At this time, the Battle of Stalingrad began, and young soldiers who were not fired were taught the basics of military science in their training fate, then they were sent to harvest in the fields, then again to training, and only after the end of the Stalingrad operation in the winter of 1943 they were sent to the front. Like Ignat, Konstantin became an artilleryman, only he served not in the cavalry, but in the motor artillery as a gunner of a 76-mm anti-tank gun as part of the 1250th Order of Lenin of the Sevastopol Fighter Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment, the 35th Separate Fighter-Anti-Tank Artillery Sevastopol Brigade of the High Command Reserve Brigade. Konstantin fought from Krasnoperekopsk to Sevastopol, liberated the Crimea, liberated the Baltic states, took part in the battles for the capture of Konigsberg, participated in the defeat of the Japanese in Mongolia.
